BOB ARMSTRONG III
Bob has been the District Court & Juvenile Judge for Dallas County for the past 15 years, while also serving as the chairman for the Dallas County System of Services. Through the DCSOS, he runs numerous social programs for at-risk youth and their families. He provides oversight to Blue Jean's staff, ministries, and its strategic vision.
Dr. Brett Wood grew up in Selma and returned after receiving his Masters in Clinical Science in Orthodontics from the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Dentistry. His wife Kate and family have been attending Blue Jean for several years. When not working they enjoy being at home together, traveling, Auburn football and anything outdoors.
Josh has an MBA and three years of ministry school at the Bethel Atlanta School of Supernatural Ministry. After visiting Selma multiple times through the school the Lord called Josh to serve in Selma. Josh now serves as the Director of Operations at BlueJean. He was hired in September of 2020.
Mary has spent her adult life mentoring and serving families through Christian dance training. She also spent two years at the Bethel Atlanta School of Ministry with Josh, her husband and taught at the school for two years. Mary serves kids, youth and young adults as the Family Life Director at BlueJean. She was hired in June of 2021.
Born and raised in Lowndes County and have lived in Selma the last 30 years. Married to Patti and have two grown married children, a daughter, and a son, and one grandson (by far the BEST grandson in the whole world!). Originally was a member of First Presbyterian Church and a part of Blue Jean from the very beginning. Have served on the Blue Jean Leadership team since the beginning. Blue Jean has been a very important part of my spiritual life. I am very excited to be a small of what God is doing through Blue Jean and look forward with excitement to what he still has in store for all of us!!!
Lee is a Selma native. He attended Auburn University where he graduated in Nursery and Greenhouse Management. He currently works as a Land and Wildlife Manager. He is married to Lauren and has a 7 year old son.
Rick is an attorney in Selma. He serves as the primary Worship Leader for Sunday morning worship at Blue Jean.
Donna Long is currently a retired administrator who lives on two wooded acres in the country, enjoys reading, writing and many outdoor activities. As a writer, it is her passion for all people to experience the transforming grace of Jesus, so they can walk in the destiny the Lord has planned for them. The Lord has also given her a heart of intercession devoted to our city, state, nation, as well as the nation of Israel.
Debbie is a mother of two sons and a “Mimi” of 4 grandchildren. She and her late husband, Joe Andrews were Evangalists and then pastored till the Lord moved her to Selma, AL. She became a part of Blue Jean in 2019. Debbie’s passion is building up the body of Christ through Discipleship.
Colin teaches 8th grade World History at R. B. Hudson STEAM Academy and also helps coach the school’s football team. Before returning to Selma in June 2021, he earned a PhD at Boston College, where he studied race and politics in the United States. Colin met Jesus for the first time at Blue Jean between 2013 and 2015, and he is excited to be back. He looks forward to playing his part as God leads the church into its divine destiny.
