BOB ARMSTRONG III
Robert E. Armstrong III served as the District Court Judge of Dallas County from January of 2005 until October of 2021, when he retired from the bench. He presently serves as Chairman of the Dallas County System of Services (f/k/a Dallas County Children’s Policy Council, Inc.).
Judge Armstrong is also a leader of Blue Jean Selma, which is a ministry whose mission is to transform and revive people and the Selma community.
He has been married to Ann Armstrong for over 40 years, & he has 3 adult children, 2 daughters-in-law, 2 grandsons, with 2 more on the way. He loves the outdoors, especially his beloved river (i.e.the Alabama River).
Lee is a Selma native. He attended Auburn University where he graduated in Nursery and Greenhouse Management. He currently works as a Land and Wildlife Manager. He is married to Lauren and has a 8 year old son.
Joshua Marcengill is on staff with his wife Mary. He works as the Administrator here at Blue Jean Church. He’s also an author/speaker/inner healing counselor/coach and lover of Jesus. He’s been interviewed CBN and countless podcast shows from all over the world, he has a podcast called Abundant Encounters and a book called Encounters: Pressing into Your Abundant Heavenly Supply, both available from his website www.abundantencounters.com. With a heart for young families, older individuals, and new believers who have struggled with addiction and poverty, he is passionately working to serve the community here with the church. Joshua knows firsthand the transformative power of faith and strives to share that hope with others. Whether you are a longtime believer or a newcomer to the faith, Joshua's message of love, acceptance, and forgiveness is sure to inspire and help you to become more connected with Jesus, Father God and the Holy Spirit.
Mary moved to Selma AL with her husband(Joshua Marcengill) in June of 2020. Previously Mary and her husband went to Bethel Atlanta Church in GA where Mary attended 2 years of the Bethel Atlanta ministry school and then stayed to volunteer for 3 more years as a Revival Paster. She is currently working as The Family Life Director for Blue Jean Selma. She loves spending time with family and friends and getting to play tennis as often as she can!
Colin first started attending Blue Jean in 2013, when he arrived in Selma.
He teaches history at the city's only public middle school, where he also coaches football and runs a mentoring program.
Born and raised in Lowndes County and has lived in Selma the last 30 years. Married to Patti and have two grown married children, a daughter, and a son, and one grandson (by far the BEST grandson in the whole world!). Originally was a member of First Presbyterian Church and a part of Blue Jean from the very beginning. Has served on the Blue Jean Leadership team since the beginning. Blue Jean has been a very important part of my spiritual life. I am very excited to be a small part of what God is doing through Blue Jean and look forward with excitement to what he still has in store for all of us!!!
Originally from Marion, Sarah has lived her adult life in Selma. An educator for 35 years, Sarah presently works at the Alabama State Department of Education. She attended the first Blue Jean service at First Presbyterian Church. Sarah and her husband, Ira, are blessed with two grown daughters, son-in-law, and magnificent grandson. She enjoys calligraphy and art.

Rick is an attorney in Selma. He serves as the primary worship leader for Sunday morning worship at Blue Jean and has also been serving as an Elder since Blue Jean began.
Dr. Brett Wood received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Sciences from Auburn University and his Doctorate of Dental Medicine at the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Dentistry. He then went on to complete his residency at Veterans Administration Hospital, Birmingham and earned his Master of Clinical Science in Orthodontics from the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Dentistry.
Dr. Wood met his wife, Kate, (a native of Orlando) while in residency, and they married in April, 2013. They have made a home in Selma (https://www.selma-al.gov/), AL (Dr. Wood’s hometown) where they are very active in both the community and their church. They have three children, Aimee, George and Charlie. When not treating patients, Dr. Wood enjoys spending time at home with his growing family, traveling with his wife, Auburn foot
ball, and anything outdoors.
