BOB ARMSTRONG III

Robert E. Armstrong III served as the District Court Judge of Dallas County from January of 2005 until October of 2021, when he retired from the bench. He presently serves as Chairman of the Dallas County System of Services (f/k/a Dallas County Children’s Policy Council, Inc.).
Judge Armstrong is also a leader of Blue Jean Selma, which is a ministry whose mission is to transform and revive people and the Selma community. 
He has been married to Ann Armstrong for over 40 years,  & he has 3 adult children, 2 daughters-in-law, 2 grandsons, with 2 more on the way. He loves the outdoors, especially his beloved river (i.e.the Alabama River).

LEE CUMMINGS

Lee is a Selma native. He attended Auburn University where he graduated in Nursery and Greenhouse Management. He currently works as a Land and Wildlife Manager. He is married to Lauren and has a 8 year old son.

Ryan Bergeron

Ryan has been a part of Blue Jean from the very beginning, serving on the worship team for over ten years. He has also worked with youth ministries at several churches in Selma, including Blue Jean. A local business owner and entrepreneur, Ryan is married to Kennedy, and they have two children, McCain and Maryn. In his free time, he enjoys playing tennis, cooking, and music.

ED MCCURDY

Born and raised in Lowndes County and has lived in Selma the last 30 years.  Married to Patti and have two grown married children, a daughter, and a son, and one grandson (by far the BEST grandson in the whole world!).   Originally was a member of First Presbyterian Church and a part of Blue Jean from the very beginning.  Has served on the Blue Jean Leadership team since the beginning.  Blue Jean has been a very important part of my spiritual life.  I am very excited to be a small part of what God is doing through Blue Jean and look forward with excitement to what he still has in store for all of us!!!

SARAH WAGONER

Originally from Marion, Sarah has lived her adult life in Selma. An educator for 35 years, Sarah presently works at the Alabama State Department of Education. She attended the first Blue Jean service at First Presbyterian Church. Sarah and her husband, Ira, are blessed with two grown daughters, son-in-law, and magnificent grandson. She enjoys calligraphy and art.

RICK WILLIAMS

Rick is an attorney in Selma. He serves as the primary worship leader for Sunday morning worship at Blue Jean and has also been serving as an Elder since Blue Jean began.

Mary Hansell

Mary Hansell has been a part of Blue Jean since its inception. She is married to Paul, and they have a son, a daughter, and grandchildren. Before retiring, Mary worked in the library at Selma High School, served as curator at Sturdivant Hall, and did a great deal of babysitting because of her love for children.

Her favorite scripture is Psalms 91:1 (AMP): "He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will remain secure and rest in the shadow of the Almighty [whose power no enemy can withstand]."
